Open Access Week

Open Access Videos

Open access resources are not just limited to articles but can also include freely available streaming videos and media.

One excellent source of open-access videos is the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) streaming platform, which is available through CUE Library.

Why should you visit the National Film Board of Canada?

  • Over 5,000 productions including films that “can be streamed free of charge”
  • Films and documentaries that “take a stand on issues of global importance that matter to Canadians–stories about the environment, human rights, international conflict, the arts and more” in both French and English.
  • Animated films from filmmakers including Cordell Barker, Chris Landreth, Ryan Larkin, Richard Condie, Ishu Patel, Caroline Leaf, and others (NFB, 2022).
