Getting Your Student ID Card Started

Did you know that your student ID card is your library card?

Library Benefits of Having a Student ID

When your student ID is created you will be able to do the following:

  • Borrow library books and other materials
  • Print and scan using campus printers
  • Place holds on physical items from CUE and other NEOS libraries
    • You can search for these items them in our catalogue
  • Place interlibrary loans
    • This allows you to request articles & ebook chapters not licenced by CUE Library
  • Register for a free L-Pass and access online resources from the Edmonton Public Library

Upload Your Picture to Online Services

Uploading your photo to Online Services is the first step you need to take to get your Student ID created.

Photo Requirements

  • Photo must be taken in the last 6 months
  • Eyeware that obscures or tints your eyes must NOT be worn
  • Show your head, face and shoulders against a neutral backgroud
  • Directly face the camera
  • Natural expressions/smiles welcome
  • Photo must be in colour
  • Do not have other objects or people in the photo
  • No filters
  • JPEG, JPG, or PNG files accepted
  • Photo file size must be under 10MB

“Once your photo has been reviewed by the Registrar’s Office, you will receive an email stating if it has been approved. The approval process may take up to 2 business days.” – CUE Registar’s Office
