Citing your sources can be a frustrating, nitpicky process. But as frustrating as citations can be, it’s important to include them because citations are all about academic honesty.
- One thing you should try to keep in mind is that academic honesty is not just about doing the right thing. Academic honesty is also a CUE requirement (Sec 9.2.9). Not crediting your sources of information is a form of plagiarism.
The next time you’re dealing with citations, try to keep in mind that you are not only giving credit to others for their hard work, but you are also doing your due diligence to avoid plagiarism.
