Library Information for Visiting Scholars & Researchers

To ensure that a visiting scholar has a productive research experience at Concordia, we highly recommend that the Concordia staff, faculty, or administrator who is hosting the visitor follow the procedure listed below.

Accessing Online Library Resources

In order to access online resources, visiting scholars and researchers need to be set up with a Concordia email address. A request for an email address must to be submitted to Concordia’s Human Resources department to be reviewed and approved.
Types of online resources a visiting researcher may need access to: 

Printing & Borrowing

Once an email address has been granted through HR, Concordia Library can then create an account which allows the visitor to borrow library materials. The visitor’s Concordia ID card will be that person’s library card as well, the card is necessary for borrowing materials and using campus printers. The Concordia ID card is also  issued through HR.
